Well first of all thank you all for the encouragement and advice. This is all scary for me as all I ever wanted to do is fly tacticly (blow crap up). Well I have now been grounded for six months although they did give me an 18 hour up chit for a training mission so I could show someone else how to do...

    I love that job description... "blow crap up". Perfect!

     

    Mood swings sort of come with the territory - steroids can have the side effect of making your irritable, but you're on a fairly low dose, so that may not be at.  RA in and of itself can also make you irritable - the more pain you're in, the more irritable you can get.  I find that effective treatment off my RA and good pain control are essential to my happiness. It sounds like you have a good rheumatologist who has your best interests at heart and that is half the battle.  thanks for the update!
