Love/Hate relationship with medications

I used to be one of those people who never took medications. If I had a headache, I would lie down and rest, drink water and wait for it to go away. I would like to hear from anyone who has been on the shots. Good or bad side affects. I have to decide if the good out weighs the bad for me. Nausea, hair loss, weight gain, does not sound fun.
