To lose the joy of eating...

I am currently taking methotrexate. At first, I would experience an ulcer here or there. Usually I'll get an ulcer in my mouth. Lately, its been increasing in severity. Currently I have 5 ulcers on my tongue and one on my lip. It hurts, to say the least. My tongue looks so dreadful, like its decaying. My doctor says its a common side... Read more Chevron

Just putting it out there

Since being diagnosed with RA back in December I've felt a million different emotions and I've shook most of them off so far, thank goodness. But some of them seem to still linger. Ya ever have "one of those day's"??

Side effects of methotrexate

My doc swithched me from arava to methotrexate last week, the arava was working really well but I was getting these weird rash type sores on my hand. The rashy things were not really bothersome, they itched and were crusty and hard like a callous. And some pretty rough reflux issues which nexium took care of. I took my first dose of meth... Injecting one's self!

I'm doing the metho shots now-and just wondering if there is any rhyme or reason as to how often you inject. For instance...my husband does it in the same area on my stomach-each time, and it seems to work so far.
