I am a 49 yo female- was dx with RA July 2005 and was on Prednisone, pain meds, then Methotrexate then upped all meds and still no relief. Rheumatoid Arthritis - Seronegative?

I was diagnosed with RA on December 3rd. My ANA was borderline, and I thought my doctor said that RF was positive. I had an MRI of right hand and wrist to finalize my diagnosis. LEUCOVOR

My mother has been diagnosed with RA and is currently on Methotrexate. She is also experiencing hair loss. Her doctors prescribed LEUCOVOR, but she is hesitant to start on this drug. Are you familiar with this drug and its use with RA and hair loss? Please help!

Knee Arthoscopy vs knee replacement

Dr. B:My current rheumatologist is telling me knee arthoscopy is not successful any longer and the only alternative is synvic (sp) or knee replacement.
