New diagnosis - scared and ignorant.

I was diagnosed 4 weeks ago.  I am 35 y.o. with 4 kids and a wonderful husband.  2 days after The "call", I was let go from my job (I was an idependaent contractor paralegal, worked from home 20 hours a week - 1/4 of the firm was let go).  I worked from home primarliy for health reasons.    Let's back-up.  I was... Read moreChevron

Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Sleeping Disorder, IBS, etc.....

I too live with RA - 10 years since my diagnosis in May of 1998. I can so sympathize with you. I have 2 part-time jobs. I just lost my full-time job w/ benefits. Math Teacher, so my days start early, and typically have alot of stress in them. However, I must say, I enjoy reading the posts on this site, and I enjoy hearing from others with R.A. I also have Multiple Scloresis... Read moreChevron

my aunt is my hero, my husband is my savior

I guess I am lucky after all. Yesterday I talked to my aunt. She has suffered with Ra for over 30 years. Her whole body is twisted up and she had to deal with the pain with just aspirin. They did not have the medicine or the awareness that we have now. She is now on meds has been since they started coming out with them. She has to switch around... Read moreChevron
