In health communities such as RA, you often hear people speaking about advocating for yourself. Patients may not reduce pain levels through self-advocacy, but it is nonetheless important to stand up for your rights, freedoms, interests, and passions. Make sure that you advocate for yourself in the workplace, the doctor's office, with friends, or in your marriage.
