Eye Health

At a Glance

Eye health can be a concern with rheumatoid arthritis, as Sjogren's Syndrome is a common comorbidity. This can cause dry eyes and other complications. It is an inflammatory condition that typically affects the tear and saliva glands. If you notice irritation and a painful burning in your eye, go see your doctor. Having dry eyes puts the patient at an increased risk of eye infections and damage to the cornea.
