Rheumatoid Arthritis can negatively affect heart health in some patients.  Specifically, RA has been linked to a higher rate of heart disease in some populations. To avoid heart disease in both patients with RA and those without, fill your diet with whole grains and lean meats and get as much exercise as you can tolerate with RA.
