Not the R-word but some good news....and a question/ about the emotional side of RA

Allow me to share some good news. Just got some blood test results, and for the first time, my neutrophils are on the low end of normal (they're the inflammatory white blood cells...). It's good for RA, yet I wouldn't want them to go any lower (because they also protect against bacterial infection)! and this is 7 days... Read more Chevron

amyloidosis

Something that people with severe RA can have. It's very rare. I have rheumatoid vasculitis which is also rare. Anyway my rheumatologist noticed my tongue is getting larger and he wants to test me for this. He does that by taking a biopsy of fat from my abdomen. Looking for support

Hello, I am a person (43 yr old female) suffering with RA. Not sure if I am in the right place or not, but am looking for support/information. Considering at this time a fusion or joint replacement. Anyone out there dealing with the same problem? I would love to talk.
