Unfortunately, I don't know much about this. However, I did a Google search for neuroma excision and there were a bunch of links - you can see those here. if you're concerned about how this kind of surgery will affect your RA, I would recommend that you discuss the issue with your rheumatologist and you may also try to link up your rheumatologist and the person doing the foot surgery so they can work together to get you through the surgery as painlessly as possible. Good luck!
I've been thinking some more about this and am wondering if you're not finding the information you need because you're specifically looking for the combination of RA and this particular surgery? It could be that those two coinciding is pretty rare, so that's why you're not finding the information you need - the Internet has almost anything, including information available for doctors and medical students. Maybe if you expanded your search to be more general, e.g. RA and foot surgery or RA in the wrists and carpal tunnel surgery, you might for more information. Yes, it will be more general, but you should be able to extrapolate information about the impact of surgery on RA in a joint to your particular case. And there's nothing wrong with going back to your surgeon with more questions before the operation.
Good luck!

Thanks so much for thinking of me. Unfortunately I have exhausted google search because I believe this information is only available to MD's or students. I also habe done an advanced search through my insurance benefits, with an amazing outside company that provides material to me, and they did not find what I needed. That is - the advanced information.
So sweet of you to reply. I hope you are feeling well.
