Hi, I am a 32 yr old male who was finally diagnosed wit AS after 12 yrs of suffering. I am currently taking Humira which I have say has giving me the best quality of life I can remember for a long time :-). The question I have is that I have recently broken my wrist and had plate attached. Humira was advised to be stopped whilst wound was healing, but I am worried about continuing treatment, my main concern is that will it slow down the bone healing process? Tha reason I ask this is because Humira ( TNF- inibitors ) stop or slow joints etc fusing together, which in my opinion is a natural process in bone healing after fracture/break.
Thanks for any answers in advance Gavin
p.s I know this is a RA site, but on my searching it came the closest to answering my question.
