I have been getting painful eyes with no swelling or redness. The pain is mostly deep and improves with ibuprofen. Very strange problem. Anyone have any suggestions?

See a doctor as soon as possible. RA can cause dry eyes, but I believe it's also possible to have other eye involvement, which is why it's essential to have an annual checkup by an optometrist/ophthalmologist. However, your current symptoms definitely require attention by a doctor.I don't know what could be causing this, but you don't want to mess around with your eyes.
Good luck! please let us know how things go?
Hi!
I have eye issues as well, they feel dry and "small" if that makes sense. I was also dx'd with Sjogrens which is common with RA. It causes dryness of the eyes for one thing. You should see a Eye Doc like Lene mentioned. My eyesight has changed twice in a year. Get a baseline and you can then guage where you stand. I woud suggest you see a regulare eye doc and not a chain store type setting.
