I think it all depends on what joints are affected, how severe the RA is and what kind of riding you're doing.  If it's something you love to do, then I wouldn't give it up because it's good exercise for the legs and it can energize you and just bring joy.  But you might want to talk to your doctor and an occupational therapist who specializes in equine therapy first.  I imagine that if your hips back and hands are more severely affected by the RA then riding might not be comfortable.
