I was hospitalized 4 weeks ago for what was thought to be Celulitis. I had major swelling in foot, ankle and calf. After 4 days of IV Antibiotics I was sent home. After a week being home it got worse. I saw a Dermatologist who said it was Venis Stasis. I was given 20mg of a med to reduce the water in my foot (I think Lasex) and prescribed and fitted for compression hose. It's now 2 weeks later and it has got much worse. In fact now it is in both feet, ankles, calfs and knees. My ankle and feet look like intertubes. I saw a rheumatoid arthritis Doc 3 days ago. He did a blood panel and it was negitive. By the way, when I was in the Hospital they did a venus dopler (no blood clots), x-rays of my chest (negitive) and an ultra sound on my heart, all test's proved negitive. It has been 1 month and both my legs are at the worst they have ever been. Huge swelling on both feet and ankles and redness (like a sunburn) running up both legs. Not to mention the tremendous pain. I am 50 yrs old and have never had anything like this. I am slightly over weight by maybe 15 pounds. I am extremely frustrated (as I can barely walk) and starting to get scared because nobody can seem to figure it out. I don't know what more to do? Please, does anyone have any idea's that my General Internest, Cardiologist, Pediotrist, Dermatologist and Rhumotoid Arthritist cannot figure out?
