is there something i can do to prevent prednisone from giving me a moon face?

I am a 33 year old female. I have rheum. since the age of 14 years old and i have been on prednisone from then. It seems to put on weight on places you don't need it like my butt,abdomen and the worst part my face leaving my hands and ankle very skinny. I hope you get the picture what I am talking...
