Hi Sunil,
That is an interesting word, artharitiod. Made me giggle a bit.
On to the question at hand. There is a multitude of reasons as to why you are hearding and feeling grinding in you hip. The list starts with the question of whether there is damage to the joint spacing, cartilage spurs, tendon and/or ligament stiffness (yes they too make noise if swollen or out of alignment), SI Joint pain, My best advise it to make an appointment with your rheumatologist for xrays and/or MRI's.
There are stretches and exercises you can do to strengthen the hip muscles however if there is damage to the joint those exercises could cause more damage and pain. So like all exercise program encourage, Please check with your doctor before starting.
There is a acronym that medical assistants use on the side lines of football fields when a hip injury occurs.. R.I.C.E.R.
Rest..Ice..Compression..Elevation.. Referral.
And I usually also advise to alternate ice and heat. Heat relaxes tense muscles.
Boy I haven't used that acronym since high school. It just popped into my head. Wow.
Let us know what the doc says. Also let us know what else we can do to help.
Ronie
