Hi, Lisa,

The only time I had trouble with vertigo was when my bp meds were not right, and my bp was too high.  Low bp can also make a person feel faint.

I did have an awful ringing in my ears caused from Plaquenil.  It took several months for that to go away, after stopping Plaquenil.

Whatever the cause, you are doing the right thing.  It needs to be checked out so that you can get treatment and start feeling better soon.

Hugs,

V

Well got blood work back everything ok there doing therapy for my ringing in my ears and dizzyness if that dosn't work I guess I'll see a ENT. I know my body, and I really feel bad head hurts all the time my joints are not bad at all but my head ears and all around just feel bad . If the meds I take are starting to bother me I just assume quit taking them and I don't want to do that because I remember how bad I was before I started taking them I just feel something else is wrong with me very aggravated I was doing so good Thanks for your response

Is your blood pressure okay, Lisa? Have you talked to your GP or your RD about these new symptoms?

Don't see my RD till Oct. and when I tell him things i might as well be talking to a wall . Sometimes I feel like they look at me as a winer or something and I am not I always try to be positive about my condition and I have done well . Like I said I am going to keep doing this therapy for vertigo and try it at least it is not more meds they are giving me I take enough of that as it is . But if continues I am going to demand to see a ENT.This ringing in my ears is really bothering me I am not as dizzy now but still not myself. Thanks so much for your  responce .This site really helps me for answers  and I know I'm not the only one out there with these problems .:)

I do understand a bit of what you are going through.  I had ringing in my ears off and on for six months after stopping Plaquenil.  Every once in a while they still makes some stranges rushing water type noises.  It is very annoying and makes it difficult to concentrate on anything else.

Maybe you need to change RD's...???  I don't like hearing that he doesn't listen to you.  I went thru three RD's before I found my gem. My RD is a woman.  Last visit I asked her why she became a rheumatologist, and she told me her mother, who is 78, has had RA for forty years.  That means my doc was about nine years old when her mother becames sick.  Now I know why she seems so much more understanding that the two RD's I saw before.  One of those was a nice guy but much to busy and didn't diagnose correctly.  The other one was a JERK who thought I was a drug seeker.  Just sayin'............there are some good RD's out there, but you have to hunt for them.

BTW, good idea about seeing the RD.  Hope things get better for you soon, sweetie.

I have that feelin all the time in my rightear. Like there's a flap opening and closing frequently. I haven't seen an audiologist, but I do have hearing deficits. Vertigo feelings too! I don't take it seriously considerin everything else I have goin on but you are NOT alone. I would talk to your doc though.
