No, never heard that one before.

Hey, does that mean I don't have it after all? Haha.

Cool

I don't know about scalp but I do know that chronic hives (itchy skin) is a common symptom of RA (as confirmed by literature and my rheumatologist). I suffered with hives starting about the same time as other RA symptoms appeared. Now that I'm taking Enbrel, the hives are almost completely gone.

RA can affect your skin. Many autoimmune diseases can affect the skin.

I am still not conviced that I have RA even though blood tests show a very high level of RA factor (488 norm. <14 IU/ml) C-REactive protein 104 (norm <08 mg/dl).

I also have elevated WBC, which somehow is telling me that my body might be trying to fihgt something thta invaded my body.

I keep reading about hereditary angioedema with intense itch (in my case of my hands and wrist) redness burning and swelling. It happens episodically, mostly at night time.

Somehow I have this neaky suspicion that there is more to my particualr condition than RA. Why is there no known cause for this? There MUST be something that brings it on!

I am still searching and fighting, and I hope I will come up with something useful for others.
