Q: my side effects of Humira

I have been taking humira since February, but have since gone to the doctor as I seem to have many side effects, headaches, head cold since taking in February, anxiety attacks, palputations.  They immediately took me off the injections, and I am over 8 days since my last injection would have been due, but last night started to get dizzy and found myself unable to walk straight with bad headaches again and unable to sleep, could this still be the side effects of the Humira as getting a little worried, as before taking humira I hardly ever got sick and would like to know how long the side effects will carry on after I have stopped injecting,

Although some side effects can be expected and many are manageable, I recommend that you and your doctor have an in-depth discussion about your symptoms and whether or not it is appropriate to continue your Humira.

Hi!! Dominica, Iam also on Humira and have experienced some of your symptoms. I started Humira in March and I have already suffered from two sinus infections, urinary track and lots of sore throats. I really cannot pinpoint the exact cause of this infections but already I've had to get off for one month. Right now I am praying that this time around is better. These are the chances we have to take with RA meds. I always look at it this way, if I am stopping the progression of RA every sacrifice I make is worth it. Hope you can find something that your body can tolerate. Patience is the key to fighting this monster. Good luck!!!!!

I'm also on Humira and largely manage to avoid the sinus crap turning into full-fledged infection by eating/drinking large quantities of water, pineapple juice and garlic - I wrote a post last year about managing side effects and go into more details about some of the tricks that you may find helpful.
