Has anybody heard of Prednisone induced extreme fatigue after 35 years of constant use for RA?

My mother is dealing with extreme fatigue, muscle weakness and weight loss. She is 69 years old and was diagnosed with RA 35 years ago. She has been taking prednisone ever since. This fatigue has been knocking her out for 9 months and is getting worse not better. Are there other meds that she could...
