Q: can r.a. pain cause chills?

Yes it can cause chills, b/c of the inflamation, and it can cause low grade fever.

Yes.  Before I knew what was going on with me, I had a low grade fever and chills for a few weeks.

I frequently have a low grade fever.  interesting
