Q: Does celebrex need to be taken every day, or can i take in only when pain is the worst.

 It depends a pain levels, although generally, in order to get effective pain control, taking it on a daily basis is best. For more on pain management, click here.

I have taken celebrex for about 2 years and before that Mobic and Diclofenic.  They are all anti-inflammatory drugs.  After prolonged use I have alot of stomach trouble and now take something for that.  There have been times when I've tried to do without the Celebrex, and the pain is beyond unbearable!  So I have to take it.  You didn't say whether you take other medications.
