Q: I recently started having pain in the joint of my left leg (just below my hip).

It started after a lot of walking while on a trip to Boston. It always gives me the most discomfort after sitting. It does lessen after I walk a few steps. It's been over a month and does not seem to be healing. What could be the cause? Could it be arthritis? It's not a muscle, but in the joint of my leg.

Gail,

Have you talked to your doctor?   I do not know if it has anything to do with RA .   I know RA can give us pain just about anywhere and also if I am doing something like walking more than usual I hurt more and it takes a longer time to heal than before.   You may need some tests done to see what is causing the pain and hopefully something can be done for you.
