I think that it varies from each person...I know that my flares are usually around "pms time" and when the weather makes a drastic change. I live in the south, but not far enough south! And, like some others I have talked to, certain foods can make you flare. I've given up tomatoes (makes me soo sad...I loved having tomato sandwiches in the summer...but I'd rather not aggravate the RA monster!!) and I'm gradually making other changes in my diet. I hope that all is going well for you and wish you a flare free week!

I have had RA for a year now. I have been having continuous flareups this summer. I have also noticed a connection with flareups and tomatoes. My question: Can you tolerate salsa, pizza, chili, etc. or is it strictly plain tomatoes.
