I've had hypothyrodism for 22 years and RA for 3 years. I'm on Methotrexate and Folic Acid. It has done very well for me. All the medicines scare the hell out of me but there is risk in everything. It's also relatively inexpensive about $16 - $25 a month.

My endocrinologist said that the RA may feel worse if the thyroid levels were off.

I do not have a thyroid anymore. I took a radio-active pill in  1991 instead of being operated on to take the gland out. Since then I have been on synthroid 175mg, 150mg, 137mg and 125mg. As my body flucuates, so does the dosage of the pill.

I am now on prednisone and hydroxychlor and am gaining weight.

What can I do to loose this weight and are these drugs O.K. to use together?

My Mom tried drugs and it made it better but her worst. She tried the MMS and she felt her pain melt away in just days. She was shocked. She only has to use it occationally now.  She love it, she just started to take it on the slow gradient. Only three  drops a day then work her way up to three drops twice a day. By just adding one more drop every few days until she was up to three and do it once in morning and then later once in evening. that is it. There are months she does not need any she only takes it when it flares up and it is becoming less and less. She loves having it on hand for accidental burns too. Cures pain fast!
