Hi, littleme,

Do you have RA and are you taking RA meds that could be causing this?  Regardless, you really need to see a gastroenterologist for some testing and help.  Anytime a symptom disrupts your ability to live your life normally, you need to see a doctor.

Best Wishes,

V

You need to go to a digestive spec.  That is how my Ulcerative colitis acts when I am having a flare.  I have been on Humira shots once a week for about a year and I am a lot better.  I am also on a gluten free diet and that seems to help me.

I came on this site to see if the sun could be  makeing my scalp and arms break out in a rash from the Humira shots and of course it can.  You can get the Lupus like rash run a fever and and be extremely tired and I fit them all.  It is easy how quickly I can forget all the symptoms Humira can cause.  I sure don't think I would be out sunbathing unless I jumped in a vat of sp50 sunscreen and be sure and wear sun glasses at all times outside especially if you are also on predisone too.  Dont give up it is the only thing that has worked for me.

This site specializes in rheumatoid arthritis - do you have RA? If so, what kind of medication, do you take? The issues you describe could be side effects from the medication. I would recommend that you check out our IBS site for more specialized information about this.

To be honest, I can't tell you why this is happening. It could be related to a food intolerance, side effects from the medication, a medical condition - there are many possibilities., I would suggest that you keep a symptom diary for 3-4 weeks to help you get a sense of when the symptoms happen. Every day, write down what you eat, what meds you take, how you feel, stress levels, etc. It may help you identify patterns of when the symptoms occur. You should also talk to your doctor about this issue - they may want to run some tests.

Good luck! Please keep us posted on what happens.
