Q: Is lower and upper back pain and neck pain also considered RA?

Does anyone else have bad back pain, and also neck pain? It is both lower and upper back pain , but not always both at the same time. Is this also considered RA?

You can get RA in any of your joints, so that includes your neck and your spine, as well. Speak to your rheumatologist about the pain - it's possible that you need to adjust the dose of the medication you're on. Also ask for a referral to physiotherapist, who can help you with exercises and tips on how to manage back and neck pain. A physiotherapist will also give you some tips about collars (soft or hard) that can offer support to your neck and thereby reduce the pain.

First off you would have to be properly diagnosed by a doctor for RA. I have back pain or as I call it spine pain. I was told by my doctor its caused by inflammation in the spinal cord which is part of RA. any type of inflammation seems to be part of it....
