Does anyone know the definition of Mild RA and Moderate RA.  And while we are at it, how about Severe RA too.  Is there some sort of line as to when the symptoms cross over from mild to moderate, etc.???  My Rheumy says I have "Early Stages of or Mild RA".  I'm wondering, because some days I feel like I've been run over by a bus!  It dosen't feel very "Mild"!!!  Any insite would be greatly appreciated!Smile

hi rena,

good question! i'd be interested to know as well. recently diagnosed, and i have the same questions as you.  since i've been on relefen (1 onth) and plaquenil (2 wks) i don't feel as bad as i did a month ago, although i hardly doubt the plaq has kicked in that quick.  i assume i don't have severe RA because i can get out of bed every day (after reading alot of posts on here). some days, i, too, feel like i got hit by a bus, although i like to say i got hit by a semi and wrapped up in the wheels...(graphic, i know).  but i'll be watching to see if our experts here can answer it.  happy days to you! desiree
