Trapped nerve surgery one day. Next day couldn't weight bear. RA diagnosed. Trigger or not ?
I attended hospital to correct a trapped nerve in my right arm. Procedure no problem. The next morning I woke up at home and found that my feet were very painful when I tried to stand. It took about two hours before the pain eased enough to allow me to walk with an aid. This pain persisted and after a week or so I attended my GP. He diagnosed Bi-Lateral Plantar Fasciitis !! When the problem persisted and worsened ( pain and stiffness in my hands and wrists ) a blood test was taken and from that I was diagnosed with R.A.
No previous history of any similar problems. Keen hill-walking and outdoor enthusiast.
Now on Methatrexate and Sulfasalazine and responding well to this medication. Chill episodes ( experience episodes of severe cold ) normally occurring when the pain flares up.
Did the procedure trigger the R.A. ? Did it cause the R.A. ? Why the rapid onset immediately after the procedure ?
Lots of questions !!!
