different muscles take turns swelling, feeling sore and hot to the touch. Is that part of my RA?

I am 47 and have had RA for 17 years. I am on methrotrexate and have been for all these years.I was on Predisone for quite a few years. I have been off that for a little over a year. I take naproxen as needed.My doc seems to think it's just a flare up, but it's never done this before.
