I'm in a similar situation to the son from this last post.  I've had symptoms since I was 17 and finally got diagnosed about 2 years ago.  My rheumatologist didn't want to put me on anything other than Plaquenel (probably spelled that incorrectly) because I'm still in my child bearing years.  Due to lack of funds and/or health insurance I haven't had an appointment for over a year.  My problem now is that I really need to get in and get started on some medication other than the OTC NSAIDs.  The RA has progressed majorly and we all know how that feels.  I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place being that I'm in the midst of searching for a job too!  I've resorted to looking for clinical trials just so I can have access to a rheumatologist and medication but I'm finding that the trials in the area right now are only for about a one month supply (if I don't get the placebo).
