Hi, Sherrell,
Bakers Cysts are a pain.....literally. They are also persistant. I had a Bakers Cyst burst in my right knee. The back of my knee turned black and blue and yellow, etc. Since then, the cyst has not returned. The doc said probably too much scar tissue there now for it to come back. He told me if it happened again to come in and he would drain it so that it didn't burst again. There is a surgery to remove Baker's Cysts, but they often return within a few years. I don't know what the answer is. Have you asked your doc about it?
Best Wishes,
V

Hi V, thanks for getting back to me. I went to my drs. and he said that it's because of the RA. He drained them both on Thurs. and injected meds. Unfortunately I haven't been able to take the biologic meds. because I have had too much inflamation in my liver from taking them in the past. This week we made the decision to try Orencia, the RA is getting extremely bad, neck involvement and problems swollowing. Thanks again, Sherry
