Q: Has anyone here with advanced RA (25+ yrs.) had any experience with a raw diet?

I would like to hear any experiences that people may have had with a raw diet.  Has anyone found this to be effective in helping pain/inflammation?  How about a raw vegan diet, or even just mostly raw and vegan?

I've had RA for over 40 years, but have never tried a raw diet. However, there seems to be some evidence that a vegetarian diet can be helpful, so it's not a big leap to assume that this could apply to a raw diet as well. Alsol, the Mediterranean diet seems to have anti-inflammatory properties (in addition to being excellent for heart health), so that might be worth looking into.

I'd suggest you have a chat with rheumatologist, as they may know more about this.

I just found another link to an article that might be helpful in your research - it's about how a gluten-free vegan diet may help RA .
