My son was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondilitis about a year ago. He is 29, and has always been extremely athletic. He still plays soccer and runs, but sometimes it's very difficult. He suffered with extreme back pain for about a year before the diagnosis. He tried Embrel, but it worked for only a short time. He was then put on Humira, but that worked only for a short time also. He stopped taking it recently. He'll see his rheumatologist in a few weeks. I don't know if he will suggest Remicaid next. He has also been taking Hydrocodone on and off for the last two years. He took an antidepressant, but I don't know if it was Celexa. I didn't realize that they combine some of these drugs. I wish you the best. I know that your post was in 2010, and hope that things have been better for you in the last two years. Hopeful Mom
