ive had ra for 20 yrs and recently i was rushed to er with severe pain on the right side iof my heas and eye. blurred vision, light sensitivity and slightly disoriented. i thought i was having a stroke. blood pressure was hi and i did have a small stroke 10 yrs ago. eventually they ruled stroke out and i was seen by a eye dr. was told that i had scleritis and was treated with 60 mg of prednisone. but ive been on small dosage for 20yrs and was hesittant about the side affects. my primary dr dont want me to be on it too long (a week is too long to me). it worded but my sugar as risen to scary level and i even hgear insulin was a possiblity. i need more in on the different between diffuse and nodular scleritis in ra patients.
Q: i was told by my eye dr that i have scleritis. ive had ra for 20 yrs. more info on it

To be honest, this question is beyond my ability to answer - none of us who answer questions here are doctors, but answer based our own experience and whatever knowledge we've managed to pick up. Your question is very specific and requires medical knowledge, so I would recommend that you go back to your doctor to ask more information - remember that they get paid to provide you medical care, which includes conversation and discussion.
