Q: Anyone know what would cause a sharp pain to shoot down the inside of the thigh when a person turns from the waist, as while looking over a shoulder?

Along with the sharp pain, comes the collapse of the leg. The pain stops when the person returns to a front facing position. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

it sounds to me as if you have a nerve pinched somewhere, most likely in your lower back. However, I am not a doctor, so I recommend that you see you are primary care physician as soon as possible to discuss this with them.

Keep us posted, please?

Hi, Lene,

I had an MRI of my hip last Thursday.  I need to make an appointment with the ortho to go over the findings.  The ortho's NP says my lower back is not good, and may be causing some of the pain, but she thinks I may have torn cartilage and/or a spur in my hip. Geez, I hope not.

Thanks!

V
