For Thanksgiving, we had a small gathering at my house: me, my new husband, and my mother-in-law.  I ordered a turkey dinner from the local grocery store which needed to be heated and prepared (much less work, but still work).  Then made two side dishes (roasted butternut squash, and greenbeans with mushrooms).  My mother-in-law made apple pie (my husband's favorite), wild rice, and cranberries.  A very traditional dinner.

Best part of the weekend was relaxing and not having to cook for several days.  :)

Well, I hope you had a great day! I had 9 people at my house. My daughter made deviled eggs,(my family says they are the best ever!), me and hubby cooked all the rest. I have 2 1/2 new additions to my family, my sons gf and daughter(shes almost 2) moved in and she calls us mamaw n papaw. We LOVE it!Oh, and the one in the oven, lol!Shes about 3 mths now and feeling the lil butterfly moves!!!!!We have also had some sadness in our community and I couldn't start my Thanksgiving day without saying a prayer for all going through hard times..... So, I prayed, then sent out a text to all my friends asking them to do the same. I got alot of replies! Then, I started my day! It was a nice one with a house full it seemed like old times. I realized, i have a real growing family now, and I love it! Yet still all through my day, I had the thoughts of all the people having tough times on my heart..... God bless us all and remember it can always be worse!!!! Stay positive!

You are so right, Angie.  We all need to count our blessings on a regular basis.  I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving and enjoyed family.

Hugs,
