I don't have insurance. I'm sure there must be others here that don't too. What do you take to manage your pain? I'm running out of choices.

Hi, Have you filed for social security disability?  I have heard of people with a RA diagnosis that file and receive it the first time they apply without appeals.  This doesn't solve the problem, but you will be eligible for medicare 2 years after the time you start receiving social security disability.  Good Luck

Thee are a few other things you can do with possibly faster results:

1. There are a few drug companies that advertise on TV about their willingness to assist folks who can't afford meds. I was on a 'coupon discount' thing once so I know these options are available. Just takes some followup - you might ask your Doc for the names of the drug companies.

2. You can also ask your Doc for free samples - not of scheduled drugs like opiates but for others like methotrexate, etc.

3. Depending on your income, you might be able to get a 'medical benefit' coupon from DSHS.

4. Use generic drugs as much as possible.

5. Try Canadian online pharmacies [I've also done this with good results].

6. Have the Doc write the prescription for a larger dose and then cut the pill in half - that doubles your amount immediately.

I hope you find something that works for you - I sold on eBay for a few years to pay for meds when I couldn't work. Be as creative as you can!
