Q: has anyone similar RA/arthritis back/hip painful walking following accident am finding things hard

Following the accident I gradually got worse I am on Methotrexate, cellebrex, plaquenil, arava, pariet, serc, and also have injections in my joints. I believe RA have not shown in my blood. I get falre ups and have to have a 2 week course of steriods. This makes me feel so much better for a short while. This is all very new to me having been a career person, now I have to adjust my life. I find I cant walk far, sit too long, lay down comfortable. I feel I am taking so many drugs but am told this is normal until a level is found for me. I find the hardest is accepting I am not able to do all the things as before and pace my day according to how I am. I am sure this is normal but does anyone have a advice on how this can affect my back so much and all these drugs worry me.

I fell 3 yrs ago and things went ramped for me, everything started popping up. my back was so bad i was in hospital on and off for 3 mos. then found out i had RA/lupus after all things popped up. then i had eye surgery for cataracts(yrs of steroids and having RA) went into relapse bad, then laser surgery on yees, same thing. the Drs never saw that happen before. and every time i do something with slighest bit of muscle strength, here we go again. I went on boat nad bumped around a bit, and i ended up in bed for day & half popping pain meds and cant move. so I learned that everytime i have any procedure or surgery or fall, it effects my RA in a bad way. hope it helps, you are not alone.

Well I understand.  My annus horribilis has given me two accidents.  The first, they called tennis elbow.  No relief at all.   Two injections and it came right.  Then, I had a true accident and fell on wet deck.  I broke two ribs and tore the rotator cuff in my shoulder.  The shoulder ijury - to my left side like the tennis elbow - has not repaired.  Nothing in my left side will repiar at all.  I have gotten worse and feel horrid.  I have had two injections, but here, in NZ, we do not do much for this.  I do think we have RA in our body and then, we have an injury, it the RA does its thing.  Fights healing.
