Hi Renata, Yes, I believe certain foods affects RA greatly... they do with me anyway...  It has to do with Leaky Gut Syndrome and a breakdown in your digestive processes, where undigested food particles enter your bloodstream via small gaps in your intestine - these gaps are caused by an inflamed gut lining which causes spaces between the cells, allowed food thru.  Once in the blood, these particles cause all sorts of toxic reactions to the body and joints.  Google "Leaky Gut and Rheumatoid", and you'll see some info.  I do a special eating plan for my RA which helps enormously to control pain and swelling.  I'm not game to eat many foods as i would be in agony.  Currently i'm doing a special way of eating to heal the gut and try and recover from RA. Feel free to write me if you want to talk more about it.  I don't know if it's a total answer to managing RA, as this is such a vicious disease, but it's a start.  Hope to talk again.. take care, Leonie
