Ive been hurting in my joints for a couple years now and chalked it up to just getting older. In the last year it has gotten much worse. Swollen hands grinding joints incredable pain barely able to walk constantly tired and depressed. I get up 2 hours early to just be able to move enough to get dressed. I have no insurance and no money to see a doctor. I live alone and work for myself which is all heading downhill quickly. I dont know what I can do and I feel like I am not going to able to work or even walk very soon.

Texas, it does sound like RA, but as I stated in the message, you need to get to a dr.

There is usually a health dept. clinic where you can be seen if you have no insurance. Bring proof of income, etc. and you will pay on a sliding fee scale. Good luck. Maybe you can get some more suggestions here.

Dear Texasleo,

There are a lot of drug companies out there where you can apply and recieve your med's free or nearly free. You just have to fill out forms and provide proof of income (or lack there of..lol) I am sure you can find some by googling 'free medications' or 'low cost meds' or the actual drug companies that manufacture them.

I got all of my paperwork originally from my DR. office, but I bet you can find something on line. GOOD LUCK!

P.S. It takes me several hours to get moving freely in the morning as well. The pain and stiffness if just always going to be a part of RA. There is something out there to help you manage it all. You just have to look, and by trial and error.

ALSO...I need to add to the above. You MUST have an RA diagnosis and a valid Prescription from your Doctor to submit as well. GOOD LUCK Smile
