Hi Connie!  I'm sorry that you are struggling and having pain issues.  I'm not sure what you are asking about though.  Are you wondering if others experience this too, or if this is a symptom of RA?  Maybe you are wondering about how to manage the pain or find different ways of doing everyday tasks.  I'm no expert or anything, but if you can give a more specific question, I would be happy to try and answer you.

My finger lock as well.  One time, I opened a can of coke and my index finger just stuck in the down position.  Is that what you mean?  It happens randomly with one or more fingers.  It really scares me when it happens.  They eventually come unstuck but I have read that they can stay that way which really scares me.  I would think there is a surgery for it but have not really asked.  My rheumatologist told me the name for it when my fingers so that but she said it so quickly that I didn't understand or remember it.

This is called "trigger finger" I'm having the same problems and I'm doing research. What I have found is that the synoval fluid or the flexor tendons could be damage. There is a company that I'm looking at that sells a glove that would help in making it better. It is called Therapygloves.com I'm looking into it some more.
