I don't remember talking to anyone recently who has had this kind of joint replacement. Could you give us more details about what it is you're looking for? surgical experience? doctor? What to expect?

I am just looking for others who have had a experience with shoulder replacements. I know many with knees and hips, but not so many shoulders. I am specifically looking for someone who has had to have a bone graft on their shoulder.

I recommend that you asked this question in the SharePost - they sometimes get more traffic that individual questions in the Q&A section. You may want to include the question of bone graft with shoulder replacement in the title.

Good luck!I hope somebody connects with you.

Hi; I am a little late on your answer, but here it goes. I had my first surgery on my left shoulder in 1/2000 . It took about 6mos. to get it going but I still had problems with a frozen joint. In 1/2006 I had that shoulder redone and I was out of pain.It takes min. of 4mos. to a year to heal.Just this march 2012 I had my right shoulder replaced. I have had both shoulders operated on 8 times over the years .I have just plain arthritis. I am 64 yrs old and a retired carpenter.Red C.

Red -

Two-and-a-half years ago I got two opinions that I'll need to replace my right shoulder.  At the time I was determined to put it off for as long as possible, hoping alternatives might arise.
That aside, I have a question.
Right now I'm 54 and have two sons, 11 and six.  In your opinion if I have the surgery will I be able to throw a baseball again?  Currently I can only throw under-handed and that has limitations.
All the best,
- Lee
