According to a bit of research I did a Google, chondromalacia is also called Runner's Knee and is an irritation in the cartilage on the unique. Given that RA erodes cartilage, it is possible that the two are connected, but as I'm not a doctor, you shouldn't take my word for it. I would suggest you make an appointment to see your doctor/rheumatologist as soon as possible and perhaps make a list of your questions for the appointment so you get all the answers you need.
