My Mom had the same thing....right after being told we where starting the process to get on the list for a lung transplant......she was put on home oxygen and 1 week later she went into the hospital with breathing problems and 24 hours later she was put on life support........she never came off. She passed away 2 weeks later. My Mom was also on the radiation pills and when she was in the hospital they had also gave her radiation to try and slow it down.......This is very serious.....I don't mean to scare you but I seen first hand how fast things and happen and life will never be the same ... my mom has just turn 60 and I am only 35.....you and your aunt are in my prayers.

Thank you so much. I just spoke to her and she knows what her prognosis is and says she is prepared. They are sending her to S.F in a couple of weeks to do further testing but her lungs which are slowing collapsing and the radiation is trying to slow things down.  They told her the pills are good for six months and then they no longer work, which is really upsetting.  Thanks for the reply, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother, you are also in my prayers.

I am sorry for your loss. I am 48 and have been living with RA for a long time. I guess I should prepare for the worse. First time in my life I was hospitalized because I could not breathe. I kept mentioning my RA and they just said it was an asthma attack they kept me for three days. They wanted to send me home with oxygen, but I opted for inhaler and nebulizer. I just got home last night and thought I would have to go back today> I am scared.
