Hi Syed, Testing positive for Anti-CCP is 95% specific for RA.  My ESR was only slightly elevated the first time - 28. And I had been having tendonitis in several places off and on for a couple years.   But just a couple months later my wrist swelled up major, and I was tested again - it had doubled, and i already had wrist damage.  Then I got tested for Anti-CCP by the rheumatologist and a lot of other stuff and was positive for RF and Anti-CCP.   So - it can happen very fast.  Keep after the doctor, let him know exactly what is happening with you, so he will be on the ball (hopefully).  Good luck! Ellen
