I haven't heard of methotrexate being used to treat an ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage, however, it is essential that you not get pregnant while you have methotrexate in your body, as it can cause severe birth defects. I once heard that in some countries, large doses of methotrexate is used to terminate pregnancies, but I don't know if that is true. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
