Was on Enbrel several years ago, felt great, fast but started noticing that my hair looked like it was thinning,for me as a woman that was too scary so I stopped it, but now my hands are so painful that I must ask others who are on Enbrel or Humera if they are having any similar side effects, please advise.
Hurting in NY
I checked out Enbrel side effects then did not find any mention of hair loss. I know it can be a side effect of methotrexate, but as far as I know, not of the Biologics. Hair loss can also come after extreme stress (e.g., you could imagine that having a flare would cause extreme stress on your body) - my hairdresser once mentioned to me that when stress causes hair loss, it will happen approximately 3 months after the stressful event. Should it happen again, you might want to try B12 injections, as they do wonders for your hair.
