Can RA cause rapid weight loss?

RA-can effect your appetite...causing you to not be able to eat somtimes-this is common, but if you are lossing weight rapidly...you really should be checked out by your doctor, b/c an over active thyroid and other things can also cause rapid weight loss. Either way you should be checked out by your doctor!

When I first became sick, I weight 135, I then dropped down to 118. If you read on various website that describe the symptoms of RA, weight loss is listed as one symptom.

Thank you. I've had my thyroid (had low thyroid levels) checked out as well as Colonoscopy. I'm now scheduled for an Upper Endoscopy.
