Saturday, September 05, 2009 Judy asks

Q: I just took my 1st dose of the day on the second day of Methylpred,

4MG Pak, and suddenly my face got all hot and flushed.  Is this something to worry about?

Probably not, but I'm not a doctor. I would recommend that you call your rheumatologist and ask them. Remember that your doctor gets paid to help you, so don't be afraid to call when you have questions.

I looked into this a bit more and one of the list of common side effect was sweating, so that's probably it. Still, when you have a chronic illness, it's a good idea to check with your doctor when you have new and interesting/weird symptoms - over time, you'll find out what you can ignore, but new and weird? Give them a call.
